Skills Development Facilitator- Services
The Skills Development Act and Skills Development Levies Act require that organizations appoint skills development facilitators (SDF’s), to complete workplace skills plans and submit annual training reports to the relevant SETA. Companies with less than 50 employees will not be required to submit a Workplace Skills Plan(WSP),as these companies are not required to implement a skills development strategy, they only claim for training completed. The SME Training Report Claim will be submitted on an annual basis.
Companies with more than 50 employees will be required to submit a Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) for the period 1April 2007- 31 March 2008 before 30 June 2008. At the end of the year, an Annual Training Report (ATR) must balance against the training interventions implemented in the submitted WSP. 
In the capacity as the appointed Skills Development Facilitator, Zama Training will perform the following functions:

  • Assist the client and the staff with the development of a workplace skills plan.
  • Submit the workplace skills plan to the relevant SETA
  • Advise the client on the implementation of the workplace skills plan.
  • Assist the client with the drafting of an annual training report against the approved workplace skills plan.
  • Advise the client on the quality assurance requirements as set by the relevant SETA.
  • Act  as contact person between the employer and the relevant SETA
